In
the loop
GOING IN CIRCLES is what this sculptural stool does best.
“In the Loop” was designed by Laura Spector, the Fairfield
designer known for projects using natural materials, especially
vines. The stool was crafted by master iron smith Thom La
Barbera and his son Brian, both of Brookfield. The collaboration
transformed an organic vision into metal reality.
“In
the Loop” can serve as seat, table, footrest or pedestal. Choose
the surface material (copper-plated , or reclaimed wood) and
loop color (coral, teal or a dozen others). The round disc comes
in 12- and 18- inch diameters, and both sizes work on the
recycled iron base. It’s available in bar and counter heights,
too.
Each commissioned piece is handmade and signed by Spector and La
Barbera, whose ironwork fences and gates already grace many
Connecticut homes.
